Three Drunk Bastards

I moved to another park and into another community.  Every time I visited the community before moving in it was in the afternoon and it was so quiet and peaceful.  I have a great view of the hill country.  Everyone I have met is friendly.  The day I moved in a couple of folks stopped my and brought beer and that's never happened before.

The neighbor on one side of me and a neighbor across the street are members of a band they call Three Drunk Bastards.  One is a drummer and the other a guitarist.  One morning shortly after having moved into the park I awoke to the sound of women singing.  I said, "Yes Lord, is that you calling?"  I was not really sure where I was and it's been a while since I had a head injury.  It was the band next door jamming.  On more than one occasion I awoke at 4 and 5 in the morning to the sound of the band practicing.  They have been practicing earlier in the day this week.

I find myself enjoying the quiet of the morning on my little porch with a view of the hill country and cup of coffee.  It seems I have a hummingbird nest nearby.  One night, one of my neighbors and I saw a rather large bobcat.  The cat got within 25 yards of my trailer.  My neighbor was ready to run in the opposite direction in search of shelter.  When I told my parents they calmly reminded me not to pet the bobcat.  Duly noted Mom and Dad! I have seen more walking stick insects this month than I have ever seen in my life.  They are fascinating creatures!

Each park has it's little nuances and if this park's nuance is Three Drunk Bastards I might just be okay.
