Slow News

There has not been much new news in the park. I'm still working as a work camper. I find myself amazed at the things some people are willing to do in public bathrooms. Yesterday I found someone had cut their hair in the bathroom. I know it's probably more common than I think. Another person spray painted a sign on the public patio and left their mark. Wonders never cease!!!

I was so mad the other day I almost cried!! About a week ago I planted on bed of nothing but kale, three different kinds of kale. I went out to water in the dark of the morning and could tell the bed had been torn up, almost beyond recognition. It was too dark for me to put things together or truly assess the situation. It was not a good way to start the day. I have since attempted to replant what was uprooted. I have no idea how things will turn out. The pesky creature did very little damage to the bed with carrots and garlic, what the hell!!! I still don't know if it's an armadillo or a possum. My neighbor said he kicked a real big armadillo and he thinks that is what did it. Another neighbor is said to have trapped a real large possum, so who knows.

We had a frost last night and are expecting a light freeze today. The only material the park wants us to use to cover our plants is burlap. I have had coffee bean bags in storage that I've contemplated how to use, so they have a new use in protecting my plants. Last night I used one to cover our sole tomato plant that has fruit on it. I just might throw a fit if we don't get fruit from this one tomato plant!!!

School is in high gear with a final project on Wednesday and a final counseling session Monday. I have decided to start training for a half marathon the end of January so that means running more miles. If anyone would have told me a year ago that I would even consider such an endeavor I would have told them they were full of shit and had me confused with someone else.

That's the news from the trailer park
