Fitness Initiatives

This is the time of year so many people re-evaluate their lifestyle and set goals to make changes. I'm no exception. I'm very goal oriented. Living in a trailer my size does not lend itself to buying fitness equipment that will serve as a coat rack or clothes hanger. There's barely enough room for me to do sit ups in the kitchen and I only do them then when I feel up to being a bit claustrophobic. I am fortunate enough to be parked in a place where there is an accessible fitness room with weights and three pieces of cardioequipment. I'm going to learn how to run on a treadmill without falling off. Sounds easy enough doesn't it. Well you try it:) I have joined a group of folks that meet every Saturday morning to run. It's coached or led by a trainer, which is cool and it's only an hour a week, which is also cool. They serve free food after the run, which is even better! It's a group for all levels of runners.

School started last week. It's going to be a packed few months with 3 classes, 3 nights a week and work 5 days a week! Running is one of the ways I de-stress. It took a year for running/walking to not be a stresser in and of itself, but it has been well worth it!!

Did you make any fitness goals for the year?
