I grew up in a small town. It was a common occurrence to see stars and watch the satellites at night. It was fine if you could not see your way to the door at night. Everyone knew everyone and one person's business was everyone's business.
Now that I have been in the city so long it's been a hard adjustment being back in rural Texas. I'm not used to not being able to see my way to the door. Who knows what critters and live things (like rocks) lie between here and there. I have yet to have a name for any of my neighbors except the manager. I did take a moment and look at the start yesterday before leaving for work. With it being day light savings time I leave under the cover of dark and return under the cover of dark. I do cherish a morning when I can linger on the make shift patio with a cup of coffe and not freeze my tail off.
I sold the TV this week. The TV was taking up my entire living room floor or the entire kitchen floor. I was not getting a good reception. My goal is to use my computer for a TV. Anyone out there ever do that? At my current location I don't have Internet so not sure it's going to happen. For the time being I watch and rewatch DVDs or listen to podcasts that have stacked up. What's your favorite podcast? No really, I wanna know.
I really thought that by now I would have blown something up. I've managed to not only not blow anything up but not to break anything that can't be fixed relatively easily. I have gotten the hang of this awning thing. It sounds so easy to do. I don't have a mechanical mind so it's a challenge for me to see how to solve something mechanical. Everyday I continue to learn something new about live in an RV.
